报告内容简介:
The quorum quenching-MBR demonstrated significant suppression of biofouling, and thereby significant savings of the energy consumption and lengthening of the interval time between membrane cleanings in lab-scale MBRs. This talk will deal with the spherical and hollow cylinder quorum quenching medium biofouling mitigation potential in comparison with the control one (with no QQ-medium)in real wastewater fed MBR.
The research result showed that anti-fouling performance of QQ-media was confirmed in real wastewater fed pilot-scale MBR. This is noteworthy because previous studies on QQ-MBR dealt lab-scale MBRs consisting of only an aerobic membrane reactor. In addition, newly designed QQ medium, QQ-HC showed higher QQ activity compared to QQ-Bead due to its higher surface area at a given media volume.
