The talk will focus on the use of well designed Bismuth Oxybromide photocatalysts for organics degradation (briefly) and bacterial disinfection (mainly).
讲座主要涉及王保强教授利用新一代人工溴氧铋光催化剂来进行水中有机污染物的降解和细菌杀灭方面研究工作的最新进展。
报告人简介:
Prof. Po Keung Wong has more than 40 years working experience on environmental technology/ biotechnology and photocatalysis. He received his B.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 1977 and 1979 respectively; and Ph.D. degree in Microbiology from University of California at Davis (UCD) in 1983. After few years post-doctoral training, he returned to CUHK in 1986 to become a lecturer. Currently, he is a professor in School of Life Sciences and the Associate Director of Environmental Science Programme, CUHK. He also serves as visiting professors for Nankai University, South China University of Technology, Central China Normal University and Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, CAS in China, and an adjunct professor for Clemson University, USA; and an Associate Editor of Journal of Environmental Sciences and a Coordinating Editor of Environmental Geochemistry and Health. His current research interests are: photocatalytic inactivation of microbes and degradation of toxic organics, and energy production. He has published close to 400 articles in various aspects of environmental technology/ biotechnology and photocatalysis.
王保强教授从事环境技术/生物技术和光催化领域研究工作近40年,迄今王保强教授在相关领域研究工作发表SCI论文400余篇。他先后在香港中文大学获得本科(1977年)和硕士(1979年)学位,在加州大学戴维斯分?;癫┦垦唬?983)。博后工作几年之后,1986年他作为讲师回到香港中文大学任职。目前他香港中文大学生命科学学院教授,环境科学研究中心副主任。王保强教授与内地合作紧密,是南开大学、华南理工大学、华中师范大学和中科院广州地球化学研究所的访问教授。同时王保强教授是美国Clemson大学兼职教授,是Journal of Environmental Sciences杂志副主编,Environmental Geochemistry and Health杂志协调编辑。近年来王教授的研究兴趣主要集中在光催化杀菌,光催化降解有机污染物,光催化产氢和CO2还原方面。
